Our Vision

The idea and the mission for the Lung Disease Foundation of Central Pa. began with the observation that I had after many decades practice. Talking to patients both in hospital rooms and examination rooms of the office, talking to wives about their husband, husbands about their wives and children about their parents I realized that most patient do not understand about the normal function of the lungs and, therefore, do not understand about diseases that affect the lungs.

The Lung Disease Foundation is dedicated to improving the knowledge base of everyday people to help them understand lung disease, what causes it and what can prevent it. Why certain treatments are important and why certain tests are needed. What works and what doesn't

The Foundation is also interested in the ways in which technology can be used to help disseminate information to the individual.
